Your very first encounter with Sri Lanka will be in the airport. As soon
as you step outside the building, the warm and noisy air will close around
you. A keen crowd of people will be there to meet you, even if you don't
know a soul in Sri Lanka. Don't worry, we will be there to meet you as
well - and soon you will be in a cool van on your way to new experiences
with the first of many bottles of water in your hand. After a long flight,
you may not be up to a long drive to get to your destination. Negombo is
only a short distance away and well worth a visit.Transportation in Sri
Lanka is a chapter in itself. Air service is available, but if you want to
see and experience Sri Lanka, you should use the railway or the roads. You
can go almost everywhere either by bus or train. It is cheap, crowded and
stuffy - and demands patience and good nerves. However it can be a great
experience, and you no doubt meet new friends within short. Tuk-tuks (bajajs
or 3-wheelers) are convenient for short trips. There are a lot of them -
and you cannot avoid being offered a "taxi" in the street. Do remember to
agree on a price, before you get in. The easiest way to get around is
to hire a vehicle and a driver. Then you can go, where ever you want, when you
want it. We offer you this service. For example 1 day (12 hours)
inclusive km 200 for the amount of Rs. 8,000 (US $ 80) in an insured, air
conditioned van with an English speaking driver.
Trips and tours, including over night stay at hotels after your choice,
can be arranged. We do not have any ready made packages, but can arrange
almost anything. Please contact us (email to: hemantha(at)mail.dk)
to hear of the possibilities.
There are many hotels and guesthouses to choose from. Follow the link
